Hate all you want but the hype ain't dying anytime soon.
November 3, 2017.
The wait was long and the lines were even longer, but it's been 4 days and the iPhone X is officially available. New features include Animoji, a function that allows users to record audio messages animated into talking emojis, a buttonless home screen, face ID, improved wireless charging, and as always, increased camera and display quality. Those upgrades will set you back by a good 999 bucks, and that's only for the lowest storage option--64 gigabytes.
9 may be a lucky number in Chinese culture, but it's pretty unlucky for your bank account, if you ask me. Lucky for you though, you're not asking me, so let's see what the richer of us think about the iPhone X.
One YouTuber, Jame Charles, tests the face ID feature by applying heavy makeup to see whether this throws the phone's recognition ability off (it doesn't). When he tried to use a photo of himself to unlock the phone, he once again failed to fool the device, proving that though pricey, the phone does actually have quality technology.
Another YouTuber, iJustine, gives an overview of the device and her own experience with it in the following video.
And the conclusion is... it's great. Of course. Apple has always been seen as a luxury brand, and the iPhone X does not disappoint. Despite being slow to implement waterproofing features a few years back (back when people actually roasted iPhones in favor of Android), Apple has come back stronger than ever. No other brand can say they generate as much hype as Apple has, and well, you're still reading, aren't you?
The iPhone X. Xtremely trendy, though you may be xtremely in debt.
